Family house · Jaipur
A family saree and lehenga business that began in Johari Bazaar in 1960 and later opened a large multi-floor outlet in 2019. It is known for hand aari embroidery on silk and georgette, and stocks silk, tussar, organza and Banarasi sarees for weddings. Wedding guides list it with Roop Laxmi and Rana's as a core old-city stop. Much of the stock is embellished, so ask which pieces are pure silk.

The Banarasi saree is woven in and around Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, one of the oldest brocade centres in India.
Bandhani is the tie-and-dye craft of Gujarat and Rajasthan, in which tiny points of cloth are pinched and bound tightly with thread before dyeing so that they resist the colour.
Bhagalpur, on the southern bank of the Ganga in eastern Bihar, is India's best-known centre for tussar (tasar) silk weaving and is often called the 'Silk City'.
