Showroom · Ahmedabad
A label founded by Archana Shah, an NID graduate; the first Ahmedabad store opened in 1985 (her own account dates the venture to 1981). It works with tie-dye and weaving communities and sells bandhani, tussar, ikat and cotton sarees, gharchola dupattas and clothing in a restrained, contemporary style. A good place for well-made silk bandhani rather than heavy bridal pieces.

Bandhani is the tie-and-dye craft of Gujarat and Rajasthan, in which tiny points of cloth are pinched and bound tightly with thread before dyeing so that they resist the colour.
