Family house · Mumbai
A Bhuleshwar shop more than a hundred years old and one of the country's best-known names for bandhani sarees, stocked in a very wide range of colours, bases and qualities, from everyday pieces to silk bridal gharcholas. It also carries Ajrakh from Kutch and is praised for its Kanjivaram silks. Its centenary sale drew such crowds that the shop closed early.

Bandhani is the tie-and-dye craft of Gujarat and Rajasthan, in which tiny points of cloth are pinched and bound tightly with thread before dyeing so that they resist the colour.
Kanchipuram, the temple town about 75 km south-west of Chennai, is the best-known silk weaving centre in Tamil Nadu, and its sarees are widely regarded as the classic south Indian bridal silk.
